This policy explains how Bunny Trail (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our virtual Easter Egg Hunt application.
Information We Collect
- Player Name: Entered by you and stored in a browser cookie (
playerName).
- Player ID: A randomly generated identifier stored in a cookie (
playerID) to persist your game session.
- Geolocation Data: Your device’s latitude and longitude (with your permission) are read by the browser and sent to our server every 5 seconds to enable map-based gameplay and verify you are within the play zone.
How We Use Your Information
- To assign you randomized eggs you have not found yet and track your progress.
- To record which eggs you find and the time taken for leaderboard ranking.
- To enforce the defined play zone boundaries.
- For administrative functions such as egg management and game resets.
Third-Party Services
We use Google Maps for satellite imagery and App Engine’s User API for administrator authentication via your Google account. Please review Google’s own privacy policies here: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
Data Retention
Your gameplay data (found eggs, timestamps) is stored in Google Cloud Datastore until an admin performs a reset. Browser cookies expire after one year.
